Top Women in Digital 2018: BuyRentKenya bags yet another award this year

Top Women in Digital recognizes women doing great work in the digital world who have directly or indirectly contributed to the growth and use of digital for personal and societal good. This focuses on Kenyan women who are innovators, entrepreneurs, corporate trendsetters doing big and small things to make the world a better place. The inaugural women in digital recognition happened in 2017 honouring the most influential women in digital in Kenya.

The process of nominating the top 25 nominees has been refined to unearth hard working women who may not be in the limelight but have done immense work to better themselves and the society. The selection criteria focuses on entrepreneurship, career and innovation.

This year, one of the nominees was our very own CEO of BuyRentKenya, Lizzie Costabir who heads Kenya’s trusted property marketplace, and was among the Top 25 Women recognised in Digital.

This has been a good year for BuyRentKenya having won The Property Web Portal of the year 2018 organised by the Kenya Professional Realtors Association. In September, BuyRentKenya won for the second time consecutively, the Best Digital Real Estate Platform in Kenya courtesy of Digital Inclusion Awards. They were awarded due to Technological aspects they have incorporated into their business model.

Formally an Account Director at Access Leo Burnett, Lizzie is an experienced and self-driven professional whose role is to grow online advertising and marketing cultures with brands. She has been part of successful online campaigns such as the launch of L’Oréal’s Dark and Lovely products into the Kenyan market that saw L’Oréal awarded for best practices in Africa, as well as launched the first low cost carrier FastJet in Tanzania.
